1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Island Barrel Company website at islandbarrelcompany.ca (the “Site”) and all purchases made through the Site. By placing an order or using our Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Island Barrel Company is a business operating from 1300 Errington Rd, Errington, BC, Canada.

2. Products

All products offered on this Site are authentic ex-distillery American white oak whiskey barrels. As genuine used cooperage, each barrel is unique — variations in appearance, weathering, char depth, and dimensions are natural and not considered defects. Product images are representative only.

We reserve the right to modify our product offerings, descriptions, and pricing at any time without prior notice.

3. Pricing & Currency

All prices displayed on the Site are in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and include applicable taxes where required. Prices are subject to change without notice. The price displayed at checkout is the final price.

4. Orders & Payment

Orders may be placed through our online checkout (powered by Stripe) or by contacting us directly to arrange payment by Interac e-Transfer. An order is considered confirmed only upon receipt of payment in full.

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order at our discretion, in which case a full refund will be issued promptly.

5. Pickup & Appointment Policy

We are appointment only. Island Barrel Company does not accept walk-in customers. All pickups must be arranged in advance by contacting us at hello@islandbarrelcompany.ca. We will work with you to find a mutually agreeable time.

Pickup is available at: 1300 Errington Rd, Errington, BC V0R 1V0. Short-distance local delivery within a reasonable distance of Errington may be available — please inquire at the time of ordering. Delivery fees may apply.

6. Returns & Refunds

Due to the nature of our products (large, heavy, used cooperage), all sales are final unless a product is materially different from its description. If you believe your order is incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of pickup at hello@islandbarrelcompany.ca.

We do not accept returns of products that have been used, modified, planted, or damaged after pickup. Minor cosmetic variations are not grounds for return as they are inherent to the nature of used oak barrels.

7. Limitation of Liability

Island Barrel Company's liability in connection with any purchase is limited to the purchase price of the product. We are not responsible for any injury, property damage, or consequential loss arising from the use, misuse, or improper installation of any barrel.

Our barrels are heavy items. Please ensure you have appropriate means to transport and handle them safely. We recommend two or more people for loading.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site, including text, images, and design, is the property of Island Barrel Company. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or use our content without prior written permission.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
